*Why?

Why do I love you like I do?

You were so mean to call me names

You never showed you cared

Why do I love you like I do?

You always laughed at what I did

You made fun of who I was

Why do I love you like I do?

We never talked when we went out

We always fought about nothing at all

Why do I love you like I do?

Because you showed great concern for me

And helped me through my pain

You were the only one there

When all my friends didn't care

I love you like I do because

I feel so safe in your arms

I was never cold around you

Why can't I love you like I do?

We can't talk about anything

We don't know how to share

We are both too stubborn to change

We'd rather fall apart and die

Then take the time to talk

So I guess I'll continue

To love you like I do

Even though you make me cry

My heart for you alone it cries.

OMG!! I know exactly how you feel. I was having a brain fart for 2 years, before the gas cleared away. I really like this poem. Good job.
