The day is so long - When we are apart

The sun doesn't shine - When you are away

Rain clouds come - And the sky disappears

Until the next time - I can see your face

You bring back the sun - And chase away the storm

When I'm with you - Nothing is wrong



So, smile and I will laugh

Laugh, and I will rejoice

Rejoice and I will sing

For when you are here - I am full of joy before we must part

But, parting is such sweet sorrow

And we shall see each other again
