Before I knew of you

You had seen me around

When I first saw you in class

I had to meet you

Soon we were talking everyday

You were full of wit

We had a casual friendship

Though I liked you more than I would show

The next year I changed my classes

So I could see you more

It was a fun time

We saw more of each other

But kept a casual friendship

Over the summer you left

Gone to another state

You weren't going to return

But I was on your mind

So you came back

To make sure I was ok.

We started spending time alone

Our friendship became something more

We both stopped seeing other people

And in a short time

I became your girlfriend

Now we spend everyday together

And you shower me with love

I ever imagined this could be

I'm so happy it did
