As the memories come rushing back

The tears start to fall

Flooding my pillow with salty oceans

The love we shared, how could it have ended?

It was so strong, so deep, and so true

Why did I stop feeling for you?

I said I was sorry, that I was wrong

Will you ever come back to me?

Can we start anew?

I know the pain I gave you

Will hurt for a lifetime

But my love is true

It belongs to no one but you

You hold my heart and my mind

Oh, can't you see?

When I cry, I cry for you

I want your love back

But I know it cannot be
