Only Clear For A Moment
Oh you blazing sun
from somewhere in the distance
beyond the atmosphere
behind the clouds at times
You blind me with your rays
that cause a glare
of intense bright light
in front of me
my path is hazy
foggy and practically lost
due to the glares caused
by your eminating blaze
it faulters my choices
makes me stop and think
about maybe turning back
on a path I've already taken
one I know so well
And could do it again
Just go back to the beginning and start over
Repeating that action subconciously
Until the rays you pour out
dive deep into the horizon
not yet lost
but paused by the moonlight
helps me see where I'm headed
If only for a moment
Until you rise again in the east
and blind me once again
