My Worth is measured by the Word*

My Worth is measured by the Word*

* The Son of God, Jesus Christ

My worth is measured by the Word

I have spoken

This retested  reflection

refracted from the Soul

By deep emotion

Do not wrung this Word

From Its meaning:

Taste It

in the Silver Goblet

of  the Truth

Never hesitate in Love:

Trust the spring of  everlasting estacy

Privy to the secret of the Key

In which my Song is sung

My worth is measured by the Word

I have spoken

The Word who has Sung the song

Of my being

Myra Lochner  2001

Author's Notes/Comments:

Without the Spoken Word my own words are worthless.

This worth manifested in the enriching essence of the spoken word is also true, not excluding it's most important divine worth in Jesus, of the writer's words in motion and movement. The rhythmic and measured beat of the poem is also outstandingly lurring, especially, in: "Never hesitate in love: Trust the spring of everlasting estacy Privy to the secret of the key In which my Song is sung..." These are worthy lines that linger in one's heart long after the poem is read. And surely, I'll be glad to always draw from this worth in words made real in the ever loving person of Jesus! Ugonna
