A battered woman feels she has to stay. However in an instance she chooses to leave. She is courageous beyond her belief and although she maybe scared. She is a phenomenal woman to be undoubtedly victorious to win the battle, that she choose to win to regain her freedom. She is a phenomenal woman in my eyes. I once was that woman scared and timid always feeling unworthy of myself. Deep down inside we know we must leave, so we P.U.S.H. (Pray until something happens.) we look up to God and say please give me the strength Lord for I have to regain my freedom, dignity and self worth back. For she is a phenomenal woman God gives her the strength she needs to leave. He leads her down that path to freedom for she is a phenomenal woman indeed.
I must say,
this is a compelling portrait of an individual’s personal will to overcome hardship. And may I add that “hardship,” seems to be a feeble word to explain this issue. The potential for the situation to become lethal is real and it is abominable. I cannot imagine how it must feel to be trapped in a domestic violent situation through isolation, domination and manipulation, or the lack of financial means, terror and humiliation. To name a few of the sources the experts associate with this horrible behavior. I am sorry that you and the millions upon millions of woman have had to suffer through those situations.
My words are not enough, I will see about helping in a more positive way. I am a “Jersey Boy,” and I know my state, I am sure there is some way I can be more supportive of this cause.
Peace
