I remind myself

I wanted to be on my own.

I just never knew

I'd feel so alone.

Though time and time again

I know I've grown

Because when I'm alone

I shine brighter than I've ever shown.

It's the space that creates me

It's the time that makes me

It's the memories that take me

to where I've been

then I can appreciate

this moment I perceive

and take care of just me.
