Underneath the tree
Staring up at the sky
Straining to see

Awating the awesome sight
Foretold by the news
Should happen tonight
"Holding each other"
And sharing their love
meteors streaked through
the stars above
"Knowing love never ends"
They lay on the grass
Arms around each other
As the phenomenon flew past
"Watching in awe"
Not wanting to miss
Then they turned to each other
And shared a kiss
"Lovers in the night"
A night to relax
They slowly got up
Starting up the path
"Being together this eve"
Their eyes filled with tears
The power of their love
Strengthened through the years
"Holding each other tight"
Their spirits soaring high
They walk to the car
Under the moon-lit sky

this is a real image giver. such a sweet poem. amazing that u were able to write it this well only from "wishful thinking" i think u did a great job!
aye man! nice way of being different with a poem--its cool how you used quotes kinda like i did in one of my poems but i didn't pull it together at the end. uhm...yea cool! lol peace out
