I miss you much
the way your smile curled round your eyes
yet escaped your lips
the playfulness you exuded and searching kiss
you planted on the female population of wherever
your complete lack of political correctness
your need to please and inspire
your ability to get hurt
just like me
your tremulous words and shaking hands
your oh so cleverness disguised in
complete adonis beauty
the peace you implanted within me
when you were around
the wistfulness of your school boy charm
Never lost on old ladies and young
to think you've been erased from my life
as fast as death wraps life beneath its mantle
yet you never died
just learnt to love
that was your downfall
my resurrection and my painful emotional suicide
I just died
but my heart beats fast
everythings a great blur
I'm not as strong as you think
I must disagree with..
I must disagree with your self-assessment. I would say you're very strong. I'll tell you why. You've placed this poem in a folder you call 'Dark and Moody'. You could have called it 'Mark and Doody'. Rather than go for the cheap laugh and saying something a five year old would find amusing, you stuck to your guns and named it what you felt was more appropriate to the subject at hand. Bravo!
