My whole life has felt
like one giant chess game;
its been planned out precisely
since the beginning.

People come and go
resembling pieces on the board,
pawns moved strategically
by the hands of a mastermind.

It doesn’t make sense to me,
an amateur player,
trying to find my way
in this game of skillfulness.

Everyone is connected
in the grand scheme of things,
and everything comes
full circle in the end.
