I’m Sorry

I have a bad habit
of saying I’m sorry
when I did nothing wrong.

But I feel like
my very existence,
is a mistake,
so I constantly apologize
to those unfortunate enough
to be plagued by my company.

I can’t stand to be
around myself;
everything I touch
becomes cursed.

I’m sorry you have
to deal with me;
I regret the day we met
and you were forced
to cope with my presence.

I’m sorry my flaws ruin your hope.
I’m sorry I’m not perfect.
