You see, we’re all on a mission,

All us preachers, poets, musicians

We’ve been called to a position

He named the Great Commission

It starts with perfect submission

And knowledge of the human condition



It’s a task that gives us definition

We’ve embarked on an expedition

As we stand against the opposition

His word is our ammunition

Our goal is the world’s recognition

And the enemy’s demolition



The story begins with creation

Since before the first temptation

When God laid the foundation

And made us in His relation

But sin became His frustration

Until His son died for our salvation



That is the most concise explanation

We rejoice in the realization

And stand before the congregation

It brings about our transformation

While the angels sing in celebration

Heaven becomes our destination
