My Mind

I keep myself busy

to get my mind

off my own mind.

But soon chores

and hobbies

are finished up.

At those times

starts closing in.

Thoughts entangle

when I allow silence

to overpower me.

All the voices

lean negative

and my mood shifts.

Better to keep

myself occupied

than become woe.
