I thought I was alone

but you promised me long ago

you would always be by my side.

I can't imagine life without you

and when I thought you had left me

you brought me to my knees.

You told me to hold on,

that your love would overcome

anything that sought to destroy me.

And though the winter seemed endless,

your grace turned my heart of stone

into a heart full of forgiveness.
