To be with you

Is but the breeze of heaven

Winking a clever eye to me

And to feel my fingers through

The colors of your hair

I’m but safer than I’m sorry

And safer than apologies will ever be

Oh, how I must be all and more

Above all that you deserve

Above and beyond every blistering dawn

Oh, to be with you

And shiver every shade I see beyond my fingertips

And live a life of you and I

Until we are both stale and gray

Waiting to bury down for all eternity

Oh, the colors will but patch the leaky roof

Caved in from a heavy rain

All the umbrella bats vacate the premises

Leaving us both high and dry

To catch the sneaky drizzle between every leaking crack

Time-consuming work I will forget

For all I ever wanted and for evermore

Was to proudly, yet humbly be with you

And breathe beyond every stepping stone

Set to lead the way for us forever

And sigh a sweet sweet sigh

To know that we are not alone

When we’re together beyond eternity…
