Dead or Alive

If you are breathing, then you are alive,

If your heart beats, if you can see,

Then you are alive;

You are not dead, if your heart misses me.

‘You are if you can ‘think’ like Descartes,

If you do dream and wake up,

Yes, you are not lifeless,

Standing for justice and, saying the bad, ‘shut the hell up’.

You are not dead if you are here ‘physically’,

But your ‘soul’ endlessly flies everywhere searching for ‘humanity’.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is particularly dedicated to all the people around the world who have the courage to raise their voice against corruption, lies, deceit, injustice and hypocrisy.

Thanks

Thank you for your comment. Of course metre' s involvement is there; but, to be honest, I lay more emphasis on the 'ten-line-pattern'.
