Someday this earth will burn away
Away and leave an empty sky
Emotions will still be there
Not able to give up and die
Have you ever seen the desert's end
Ever felt like just a grain of sand
In an endless valley of the same
The thrill of it all
A star will gently fall
and tomorrow will still be there
Yet it has nowhere to belong
Except in our memories
No where to run
By myself in a crowd
The day has just begun
And I'm already late
No use pretending
everything is fine
Whisper your feelings
To the ceilings
The only cure for pain is pain
And that's where I'll be found
Until I forget again
Feel the scars and wipe the stains
Cynical
Fight and retreat
A series of impossible dreams
We all pull away, it seems
Wounded and unworthy
Selfish and untrue
One second for a word
Takes a lifetime to undo
Me without you

Wonderful, wondreful! It takes courage and an inner peace
to express the words you have in the poem "ME WITHOUT YOU".
Today it is so wonderful outside I feel like writing a few
lines on paper because of your well spoken heart song on
paper (post). I'm from Chicago, Illinois and today is a
BEAUTIFUL DAY, I will make it my business to get back on
post to read more of your craft; you're real good!!! So
please don't ever stop writing because it gives us all so
much to wonder about since we tend to go through life in
such a hurry. I know this because I've taken time to smell
the roses and enjoy a sip of tea while watching people in
their stroll unaware of the beauty that lies around them.
May today and everyday for the rest of your life be happy
exciting, blessed and FULL of joy! Say, I'm on this Post
Poetry.com site also, if you have the time will you take
a look at my poetry as well as the song lyrics I compose
and give me your HONEST review; be it good or not so. Thank
you very, very much. N. London Jr.
Sometimes we read, then we read again, yet we remain stunned by beauty into silence. I love your work. Your muse, your pain. I hope words help, but in my heart I know that sometimes, they are just tears on paper.
Stay safe
