rolling lights pass, buildings bend and blurr

darkness rules the night, but for those beaded lights

glancing out the window, they build their shapes together

see a forming bridge, and i feel so far from you



know i dont want this, i dont want to be heading away

farther away now, than we both already live

it only hurts me, if for a second you dont know

...you don't know that



Land and space, their mass between us may grow

Just for a time, till we can be with eachother near

But to you the one, i will only grow forever close

No matter how far, how far we are now apart



I will always take the midnight train to your heart

And when moments occur, just like this we cant speak

Well just close your eyes, and i'll close mine

take the midnight, to eachothers hearts

It's really no travel, your heart is always with me

and you ll be there, here with me in my dreams



And i am there, wherever you may be right now

Till we can spend, o'r time with eachother near

When we can't talk, well words can be reached

We'll always have, this midnight train both
