two trains
on two tracks
i point out to her
how they collide in the distance
she says
i know the illusion
i tell her, no
i'm afraid this time you don't
i begged her
not to get on
but she turned left
a former friend
she can't stand
had turned right
all aboard
was all you heard
if you didn't hear yourself think
it took a little bit of work,
and no matter how hard i tried
she couldn't hear me
saying..please don't..
please don't go......
two trains
on two tracks
took off and just left
a stranger kind, said they'll be okay
and looked
at me in strange way
cause i said, no
i'm afraid there's truth to this tear
this tear on my face
and we heard the bang
and we saw the smoke
but everybody went back to work
and the next day
got on the next two trains.....is that the way it ends?....is that the way it ends...?.....is that the way it ends.......
?....
I really like this. I can sadly relate. I wish that my love, my awkward, random, out-of-the-blue love wrote it but you, Mr. Fessel do write one mean poem.
Well done. :)
A very powerful, visual piece, well written.
