i agree
a freight derailment,
with it's human cost
(where we lack investment)
and it's spewing,
toxic cloud
those dead fish, dead birds,
acid rain
corroding nearby towns
and the steel city being even less
stainless now
sure sounds like it should be bigger news
than rocket missions with hero stories
against mighty, virtually unstoppable
...weather balloons
so you tell me,
the latter's been a front page headline
but it doesn't surprise me,
not a wink of sleep lost
in bewilderment,
just another day knowing
we're lost in the wilderness
when the bigger story
that we actually
went off the tracks
a long, long time ago
was never reported
Mainstream unreporting
Mainstream unreporting usually finds "air time" in poetry and the other arts. And that is rightly so in a way of thinking.
here is poetry that doesn't always conform
galateus, arkayye, arqios, arquious, crypticbard, excalibard, wordweaver
Yes. One particularly
Yes. One particularly important reason that the arts must be able to fully breathe and speak.
How timely that at this
How timely that at this period of new month beginning we are grieving and reeling at the loss of lives in the still fresh railway tragedy in the modern city of the Thessalonians, Greece.
here is poetry that doesn't always conform
galateus, arkayye, arqios, arquious, crypticbard, excalibard, wordweaver
Quite the timing, indeed
The strange and intricate pattern of things. That's real sad to hear.
