Over Almost Nothing

We are divided
By the fanaticism
Of cheering on victory and defeat,
More than being united
By the reality
That we are rarely allowed to compete,
I am afraid.

So, you know the story
You've heard it before
Break the bread
Crumb
Celebrate the Circus
In the upper deck

It all looks good
Pecking pigeons in the road
Aren't dumb,
They just see poorly
From a distance
Unwittingly,
In their coo'ing,
Cheering oncoming traffic

I saw two birds run over,
Quarreled over something
With each other
How they were fixated on the microscopic,
The 'almost nothing'

Crumb Fight

Well said. The system will correct its awful ways or the dominoes tumble.
