Call It Lesser (That'll Make It Better)

We've let our veins face transfusion
Of tainted blood
From shallow pundits and social media
Who recieve hemoglobin from corporate kings

This country's unethical
Time and again we choose evil
And justify it
By calling it lesser

Call it lesser
That'll make it better
Hey, I think
He's only got my head
One foot under water
Instead of two
I'm not going to drown
I'm not going to drown
If I call it lesser
That'll make it better

If I say it's necessary
That we've got to stop
A worse possibility
By choosing another terror
Remember when America -
When America called slavery
A necessary evil
Suggesting it was the lesser
Devilish act than freedom
And equality, remember it, please
Because the lesser evil argument's
Written by those who want to drape you
In chains and drop you in a lake, anyway

Call it lesser
That'll make it better
Hey, I think
He's only got my head
One foot under water
Instead of two
I'm not going to drown
I'm not going to drown
If I call it lesser
That'll make it better

Well, at the end of the day it's true
People will take their love
Their positive energies
And relieve them from duty in their front yard

Your welcome sign says "I heart devils"
Time and again we choose evil
And justify it
By calling it lesser

Call it lesser
That'll make it better
Hey, I think
He's only got my head
One foot under water
Instead of two
I'm not going to drown
I'm not going to drown
If I call it lesser
That'll make it better
