The Mirror's Edge

Chase what chases you,
And you'll never be the bird of prey.
Tell your lies to sunsets skies
And live to die another day.

In this game of incognition,
No one is ever above suspicion.

Discontent to be still,
But afraid to break free.
The present always dies
In future memories.

A desperate man with a broken chip,
Forsaken souls on a fever trip.
A faded shadow on the mirror's edge,
An empty shell of a broken pledge.

Left in this prism
To dig my own grave,
There's no name to call
And no one to save.

a pleasant to read

a pleasant to read darker/grey piece... course I have been partial to dark poetry for a long time... usually very deep.. this piece is no exception to that... well done

Satisfied

I really enjoy your poetry. Everything fits together perfectly, and it makes perfect sense. Could you take a look at what I've written and give me some feedback?
