Journey

Please don?t cry

It?s gonna be alright

I promise you

Tomorrow?s not that far away

Remember Yesterday

When things seemed ok

There was nothing that couldn?t

Put a smile on our face

But things have turned a round

Things are upside down

Now nothing seems to wanna

Do away with our frowns

I?ll never find a better friend

But this is not the end

Even through the distance

Has been expanded

It won?t be too long

The journey?s almost done

And when we get to the ending line

Our battle will be won

So don?t ignore the pain

We?ll be side by side someday

But things won?t be the same

As they used to be

Better than before

A new open door

I can?t wait until we fly again

Me and you, my best friend

Don?t give up it?s not the end

The journey?s just begun

savy, i remember when you wrote this poem in my yearbook and we sat together as i read it aloud tears streaming down our cheeks. i miss that old cafeteria from that day, we'll have that feeling again i know it. like you said the journey's just begun for us.

I really like this poem Dakota. It talks of pain and holds hope of its alleviation and much improved future times. Well done.
