I can feel my heart sinking like a stone in the sea,
I was hoping that maybe we could be,
So many questions to be asked, not one answer to be given,
But i want you to know, you're forgiven,
Im not angry but more upset,
I've been through much pain, but this is the worst yet,
I opened up thinking you would be different,
Instead i got what i wanted to prevent,
i got another painful memory,
Same old story,
But i've got to remember,
You cant have life without a little pain,
Like you cant have a rainbow without a little rain,
Maybe you weren't for me,
But there's plenty of fish in the sea.
Y'know what? In a weird way I'm glad,
Even if, at first, it made me sad,
If i never got hurt, i wouldn't be as strong as i am,
If i never got upset, i wouldn't value happiness as much as i do
If i never had a bad experience, i wouldn't be as understanding as i am,
And most importantly, i wouldn't be me.
