She was there
She has always been there
When they were young
She was longing for some romance
Hoping that certain someone will become her man
With a bit of courage from friends
He asked her out in the end
They have never been that happy
Everyone thought they are meant to be
She always wanted the best for him
She was there

Years gone by
There were no indication of saying good bye.
But as college days were over,
Something seems to have a change over.
Things really changes when you were least expected
As they entered adulthood,
they became busier
and things are not getting easier.
He went and enjoyed his life
While she stayed at work till at least five.
But she was still there,
Blissfully unaware that he's changing.
One day, he said to her,
I am sorry, my dear, but I have to go.
She did not react
She was just there agreeing with what he said
Just like how it has always been
I wish I have the power
to stop things from changing
The sorrow in her eyes
is not what I wanted to be seeing.
A few months on,
He has clearly moved on.
But she was still there,
