An oddness about me,

I can't quite describe?

Why I can't stop feeling

This passion inside.



Once long forgotten,

As time slipped away.

A bitterness  rained down,

With each passing day.



Remind me what it's like,

The freedom of the heart,

The feeling of true love.



Remind me what it's like,

The giddy sensations,

Precious One I dream of.



For some strange reason,

I just don't know how,

You seem to find a way,

To rid me of doubt.



In some twisted way,

You've tamed my cold heart.

You set my soul on fire,

Stole me from the dark.



Remind me what it's like,

The freedom of the heart,

The feeling of true love.



Remind me what it's like,

The giddy sensations,

Precious One I dream of.



Now the question is,

Are you here to stay?

Or will you soon drop me,

And be on your way?



Can I believe my love?

What does it have in store?

Or will my love betray me?

Just like it has before.



Don't bring me to my knees.

Not while they're still bleeding.

Help me to stand tall again,

You're what I've been needing.



Though I've fallen before,

And I can rise again,

How many hearts in the world,

Can take but so much pain.
