Ever find the time of need,

That day you can not crawl?

Ever see the light before you,

And hear the voices call?



Have you ever thought that life

Was nothing but a broken dream?

Have you ever seen the truth of love,

Or do you not know what I mean?



Never will the lies of life,

Break me down, or drag me out.

Never will your deceptive smile,

Fill my heart with pain or doubt.



I fell for love twice,

And third time's a charm.

But the clover bares the fire,

And the flames can only harm.



Love is the word that I distrust,

That feeling I ignore.

The subject wrought through loneliness,

Your reasons I implore.



Fool me once, and shame on you,

Fool me twice, then shame on me.

Love's fooled before my heart by two,

And to be a fool, I'd fall for three.



And here I go, I fall for love,

Just like those times before.

Will my heart be torn again?

What does it hold in store.



Until the time I find my doubts,

Clouding my will to live.

Quietly I wait for the deadly blow,

That the emotion is sure to give.
