must the great ego be
once he is dead!
"behold my splendor"
says the finite being
as if he is real
as if he has something new
to offer.
how ridiculous it is
to say anything at all!
to have a self is humiliating
and i shall have no part of it.
how can one tote their confidence
as if they will not one day die?
how can one say "i am great"
when they will one day be destroyed?
man's ignorance
is his only glory
his own folly is his praise
like sisyphus
it happens over and over
from generation to generation
building themselves up
just to get knocked down.
