Love conquers hate
Too bad we don't
Live that way
The idea of love
And to tolerate
Is not something
We readily embrace
But the idea of hate
That we don't even hesitate
To embrace
And then we wonder
Why the world
Is this way
While pointing fingers
So ourselves
We don't have to blame
And it kills me
That we can live this way
Without seeing
Just how insane
This was of living
And thinking truly is
We need to free ourselves
From this way of thinking
Learn to think
For ourselves
And maybe, just maybe
Then we will finally
See the peace we seek
And start living free
