I write because I can
I write to show who I am
I write to take a stand
I write to lend a hand
Give a voice
To the voiceless
And hope to the hopeless
I write to open eyes
And enrich minds
To make people
Face what they feel inside
I write to be different
And am proud of it
I write to tell haters to shove it
I write because I know
There is something better
Waiting somewhere out there
If we would only look closer
With open eyes,hearts, and minds
I write to set the blind free
And teach the corrupted world to see
