A day for families
To come together
Have cook outs
And play the
Day away
But let us not
Forget who
Memorial day
Is all about
And let us be grateful
To those
Who gave it all
And paid it all
For us to have
The freedoms
We all love
And often
Take for granted
So today
While you are
Grilling your burgers
And drinking your beer
Remember to thank
A soldier lucky
Enough to have made it back
And honor those
Who sadly had
No such luck
