Lost inside a world

That is not my own

In which I do not belong

Locked up inside

A soul

Growing cold

And old

Long before

It should

I reach out

For a hand to hold

But I am alone

Once again

But what else is new

Faces all around

That see right through

But never really

See you
I am determined
To let it 
No longer
Bother me
I look within
Once again
Find myself
And a strength
They would never believe
That was ever in me

As I rise above them
Reclaiming a life
That is finally mine
I smile and declare
Myself finally free 
No longer lost
In a world
That is not my own
