"Why Do I Try?" 10 - 02 - 01
You know your world
hangs by the thread
I know your hopes
are nothing; dead
I try to pierce
your covered eyes
to deliver the truth
but still you hide
You balance your life
on the needle point
I try to save you
but to no avail, no hope
I tried so hard
to uncover the truth
I fell so hard
when you did the deed
I felt so guilty
Like I could have
--done something
I feel so alone
now that you are dead
--and gone
six feet under
your new home
a dozen roses
now I roam....
Wonderful... I really hear what its saying... and yea i know what its like to try and stop someone from committing suicide but then turning back and wishing harm on yourself. Its wierd how this world is.
Josh- I have to say once more that you are such a talented writer. You bring feelings that I have felt for so long into poetry that is mesmorizing. I still compare you to the late Jim Morrison. Your poetry and his is so much alike (except I doubt that you made a poem called 'Lament to the Death of My Cock' LoL). I wrote a new poem on my site about the late, great George Harrison. I hope you read it and tell me what you think. See ya around, Leprechaun. Dawn aka Dark Slash
