delicate air, grey and surrounding
kissing your chin and drifting
across your lips
subdued light countershows
against your glowing skin
and the heart
inhales and exhales
singing a sound of peace
i am in a world
with no hardships
divided souls
and a fountain of youth
dripping from your eye
like blood drips from a vein
magic from the planet
purest beauty
choral voices, whisper, whisper
they tell me what you are:
a lord of rebirth and destruction
Many poets can describe in words; but few poets can paint the effect of light and shadow successfully. You are, obviously, one of those few (as I am not, admittedly), and I applaud your accomplishment in this poem.
