The Sands Of Time

She stood upon the shores of time

Listening to the endless chime

Of a bell that seemed forgiving

For a love that now was living

Lost within a deeper sorrow

Knowing that there was no morrow

For the love that she hath saved

Within the sands her path is paved

To give her life for her one true love

She takes his place in heaven above

Though she tries to halt the sands

To stop from falling through time’s hands

The sands of time have yet to end

The hurt that still his heart must mend

The love he had is dead and gone

The sands of time has finally won

When she passed the throes of time

And the endless ringing chime

Of a bell that seemed forgiving

For her love that still is living…
