AFTER ALL THE YEARS

After all the years of intensed pain

Still you're knocking upon straight wood

And bleeding your knuckles right to the bone

Screaming and crying for someone special to open a door

Crumbled up and onto the floor right to your knees

Compassion and comfort is all you plea

Peace in your heart that his love cruelly stole

In sorrow and shame now you wish to hide your head

In the shadows your eyes with so much pain, peer

And in every corner darkness is all, that you see

Wondering over and over again

When and if, your ship will ever return

I love this poem. The flow of the words is great and the feeling behind it comes across strongly.
