You hold a lot of meaning in such few words. Wow. I feel like my emotions are tangled like the vines of the rose and the thorns pricking me are the obstactles I'm trying to overcome. I'm sorry that you've been pricked by the thorns, but maybe it will make you realize how good something or someone else is later.

Pretty haiku, but a big ouch! with thorns in the heart. I know what you mean by that! Pain, sorrow, burdens, problems---life can be so much like thorns!

good work .
Dear Eunice, This haiku .. seems as if it
came after many lifetimes of meditation
in a zen monastery..
it reminds me of
Sai Baba's "Love is the rose. Lust is the thorn".
It is masterful.
Thank you!
