SUBTERFUGE.

Against the floral fabric,

Carpet of many hues,

Nacre of dewdrops glints

On symmetry of silk,

Exquisite gossamer.

Motionless the huntress

Waits calmly for her prey,

Death disguised by beauty,

Sinister subterfuge

Of the arch deceiver.

I like your style of writing and content. It's short, sweet, and to the point. You give vivid images with intense emotions to get to the heart of the poem instead of beating around the bush. It's very refreshing for me not only as a poet, but as a struggling female in this world trying to see and hear what's honestly there instead of the illusions presents. Thank you for the read and insight into your world.

Excellent. I had to read this a few times, and even get out the dictionary. Absolutely clever and....evil.
Good job,
Amanda
