Republican Americana is a diatribe about tax and spend

And they seem to berate the Democrats for such waste

But they also like the Carlyle group in which wars defend

The way of life in which it is war that they developed a taste.



Now Cheney berates Putin for lack of a democratic agenda

Using oil and gas as a way to keep their people in check

But Halliburton likes Iraq brought to its knees to surrender

To the robber barons of which we are in debt up to our neck



The pres sez that we have developed a dependency for oil

That we should let our farmers grow corn for making ethanol

Our people do not like the oil exploration on our own soil

It remains to be seen in which hand the money does fall.



Cheney tells Treasury Secretary Simon that deficits don’t matter

The Treasury Secretary resigns and Dick and George have their way

The like it all for themselves delivered to them on a silver platter

As long as Dick has a protracted Halliburton extended payday.



But amputees continue to come home in need of prosthetics

The war cost us arms and legs as if they grew on trees

And Republicans continue to like war as if it were aesthetics

And that kids for breakfast were on their continued itineraries.
