To see my progression,
And all that I've earned.
To read my life story,
The lessons I've learned.
I trust not myself,
But have faith in my words
That maybe someday,
I'll attain what I've earned.
My impulsive dictations,
These words that I sow;
They cannot describe it,
But I try, does it show?
How hard I've been working
Through all of my life
To paint out the pictures
Of my pain and strife.
And not just the memories
I learned from the most,
But all of them, daily,
Including my ghosts.
I can say the courage
This takes to divulge
Is not some minute thing,
But a huge, lurking bulge.
My pain, and my anguish,
Memories, and soul,
All that I've gone through
To obtain my goals.
My pen and my paper,
My only friend.
Is this where
My next chapter begins?
