I want you to know so many things
But words no longer flow free
My mind has betrayed me
I want you to know it's you I see
When I close my eyes
It's you by my side
I want you to place your hand in mine
There is comfort there
Honesty beyond compare
I want you to lay your hand on my chest
Feel the happiness you provide
You now linger there inside
I want you to kiss me ever so softly
Let this innocence escape
Surrender ourselves to fate
I want you to tell me this is real
Not too good to be true
-and that you feel like I do.
There is something uplifting and powerful about our letting go; about our being simple and honest regarding our feelings. What Stephanie has done in "I want........" is to let us feel and learn from that refreshing embrace one gets from just being calmly emotional enough to say: this is how I am feeling right inside: "I want you to lay your hand on my chest Feel the happiness you provide You now linger there inside..."
