I know that you're not ready yet

     Your love I won't pursue

But while you're making up your mind

     My love will wait for you.



A love that's freely chosen

     Is a love that will endure,

A love that is prepared to wait

     Will end up more secure.



And if you should decide that love

     is not for us to share

I hope that you will tell me so

     And your true thoughts declare.



But if you sense that love describes

     the feeling in your heart

Then share with me your deepest thoughts

     so we're not long apart.
