It starts with just a kiss as hearts take flight,
with indecisive words in tongue-tied pause,
when even dreary days seem clear and bright;
(infatuation veils life’s cracks and flaws).
Two minds meld into one as passion grows,
for touching souls could ne’er be kept at bay,
while love’s abloom from scattered seed it sows,
when fev’rish lips and anxious fingers stray.
A brilliant lover’s moon shines bright and clear,
when twinkling stars bestow awaited dreams,
for wistful longings often persevere,
on stellar wishes, promises and schemes.
I hadn’t thought a heart could ache this much,
but that’s the way it is when two souls touch.
