No words could ever find a way,
to still the silent screams,
nor wash the pain left long behind...
a child left broken dreams.
An anguish looms on certain days,
those seasons for the heart.
Reminding how one bitter fruit,
nigh tore a home apart.
Not unrelenting care nor love,
would matter so it seems,
with hell-bent rage, so deeply felt...
a child left broken dreams.
A decent conscience turned aside,
not caring right from wrong,
bore single-goaled deceitfulness,
and quelled a mothers’ song.
There are no words that fill the void,
to stifle anguished screams,
nor fade the scars of endless hurt...
a child left broken dreams.
And adults forget so easily how much it hurts when those dreams are broken. This is a keeper.

Wow, great poem. I can't even begin to describe how good it was, it was just amazing. Keep up the good writing.
