Indian brave, young and strong
Wanting to search for distant lands
Says, "There's something out there I can't explain.
"Like trying to catch the wind in my hand.
"See the eagle in the sky,
"Flying so high, so free, like the Sun God."
But Chief says, "Coyote stays with his own,
"The elk and the deer,
"They live out their days in their home land."
On a midday hunt they saw
A shining bird screaming across the sky
Setting fire to the sky
Shaking the air,
the ground,
their hearts,
their minds.
Indian brave greets the men
Who climb out of the belly of the giant bird
They say, "We've come from far away,
"Setting down on your world to rest."
Indian brave leaves his tribe
To travel with these men who came from the sky.
* * *
Traveling, through the universe together, they fly.
He teaches them of his home world
And to live as one with nature.
They teach him technology
He learns to fly, and he learns to speak their words.
* * *
Now he sees
What's eluded him for so long
Now he hears
The echoes of a brand new day
Now he tries
Across a sea of black and stars
Now he knows
A new life ahead, how he will grow.
I would love to hear the music that graces these words. Very well done and a beautiful story. I just signed your guestbook and I am about to leave you for awhile, but I will be back to read more of the person that is you. If you ever have a few minutes I would love for you to visit me. Where Have We Gone? Is something that I have put to music as well. It might be of interest to you if you visit. Great job Keith. I will look for more of you. ~Lesa~
WRITE THE STORY! What a unique, fascinating take on the age-old UFO visit. The human and the aliens actually get along and benefit from each other in ways other than stripping each down for raw materials. Heaven forbid we should actually be FRIENDS with them, right?
