IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES

I may never give you a hug

Say "I'm sorry" or "I love you"

Tell you what you mean to me

I may never tell you goodbye

These things I need to say

For what if tomorrow never comes?

For every wrong I've ever done

If I was ever too busy or hurried

Made you feel ignored or sad

Put you down, caused you pain

Our relationship destroyed

I need to say I'm sorry

Regardless of what comes

Even when we are apart

When I'm not here to tell you

Remember that I love you.

Throughout all eternity

I will always love you

Through good times

And bad times too

As long as I live

I'm here for you,

This will always be true

Even if tomorrow never comes

Your first stanza is amazing and draws you in, but I feel like it goes a little downhill after that. If you had more continuity, it would increase the worth of your work tenfold.

Jan:
This poem expresses a desire for all the wrong done if never given a chance. This poem awoke my feelings to understand that we must live for today and appreciate all we have and not have not for all our possessions and wordly possessions can be taken from us in a mere heatbeat.

The true beauty in life is surely the beauty of life itself for it can be taken from us instantly like a grain of pure sand blowing so gently across a sandy white beach.

Jan-thank you for this poem of beauty and inspiration-it has truly awakened my thoughts of the appreciation of all around me.

Regards,
Dave Richardson
