LULLABY

Lullaby, don't you cry.

Hush my child, don't you weep,

The time has come to get some sleep.

You feel as though your heart is broken,

By words that are left unspoken.

When tomorrow becomes today,

What will come your way,

Is something you cannot see.

Whatever will be, will be.

So let me dry your tears

And ease all your fears.

Wrapped secure in my arms

You're safe from all harms.

Hush my child, feel the love

Descending like a dove

From God on high.

That's the reason why

Angels sing, "Lullaby,

No need to cry."

Jan,
Very beautiful poem written... Yes even adults need to be Lulled at times... we tend to forget that at times, In alot of ways we are all still children at heart....
Thanks for sharing this with us...
