FOR YOU

My arms ache to hold you tight;

Protect you day and night.

Do the things a mother does

For the child that she loves.

Wipe away your tears;

Chase away your fears;

Hold your hand when you are ill;

Give you strength to climb each hill;

Lift you up when you are low;

Help you find the way to go.

For you I'd even fight your fights;

Stand with you for your rights;

Comfort you when you are sad;

Calm you down when you are mad.

Do everything I can,

Even though you've become a man.

My special child, I hope you see

What you truly mean to me.

I love you, that is why

For you, I'd even die.
